About Us
Seminis is the world's largest vegetable seed company. Our seeds become the vegetables and fruits enjoyed every day by consumers all over the globe. Using traditional plant breeding techniques and modern science, we develop innovative types of vegetables and fruits that offer greater nutrition, convenience and have better flavor. We also lead in the development of hybrids that provide farmers natural alternatives to chemical pest controls and other yield-enhancing traits.
It's amazing to consider that improving human health, promoting environmental stewardship and fostering greater economic growth for the agricultural community can all start with something as small as a seed.
Seminis is part of the vegetable division of Monsanto.
Seminis and EU-SOL
Seminis work in EU-SOL is to assess whether leads and results from the research activities by institutes and universities contribute to products with improved features such as taste and fruit quality. To enable this, Seminis plays a role in the industry board that has been set up in the framework of EU-SOL.
